Guild Wars 2 MMORPG Role-playing video game MMO Gaming comments sorted by Best Top New Controversial Q&A Add a Comment More posts you may like Although the game is called Guild Wars 2, joining a guild is completely optional. This MMO is great for solo play; there are no required dungeons or raids, and you don't have to interact with other players if you don't want to. If you join a guild, however, you will have access to the Guild Hall; this is a large area that can be decorated and Joining a squad or party member in a different instance of the map by right clicking their portrait in the party panel. Guesting sometimes loads you in another instance, if there's enough running. If you are in EU, guesting to a world with a different language usually works better. But if there's no other instances of the map, then the only way
A few posts online said I should be able to join my friend's instance by selecting "Join server", but when I right click my friend's portrait this doesn't appear as an option. How can I start playing Guild Wars 2 with a friend?
If you can log in every day and farm your home instance yes its totally worth it. You can get nodes for rare and specific map materials, and if you use the special tools that give bonus stuff it really adds up if you just farm your home instance every day. If you can only play every so often though it would take ages to break even for the cost
Have your gems ready in advance, log into GW2, click transfer, then sort the list by population. This way you will know immediatly if the server is not full because it will no longer be one of the first 5 servers. If it is not full scroll down and find it and transfer. If it is full log out completely and check back in 30 minutes. Characters. Services. Unlock method. Ridhais. Knight of the Thorn guide. Caladbolg Empowerment. Completing the Hearts and Minds instance, from Heart of Thorns, Act 4. Completing The Sword Regrown instance, from Side Stories, Knight of the Thorn. M.O.X.
The first method is to leave the map (like going to the guild hall or using a waypoint or other mean for teleportation) and rejoin it. You can check if you are on a different instance with the /ip chat command. If it is the same IP you did not change the instance. The other method is to join a Squad/Party and look for Players who are not

What many people seem to think is that you have to catch it during "off peak" but that is totally untrue. The server being full is based off of total accounts on the server(the upper limit is unknown), and servers routinely every day come off of full, and allow transfers/newer players to join.
